  • Conduct guided reading groups to improve reading comprehension 

  • Implement Writer’s Workshop modeled; Lucy Calkins and Donald Graves. Develop students sound-print understandings instructing with research and evidence-based strategies (ex. Words Their Way)

  • Implement core reading program, Reading Street, by Scott Foresman.

  • Institute use innovative instructional technologies such as a literacy software, document camera, Interactive White Board, and student laptops and various websites and applications to differentiate and provide developmentally appropriate teaching opportunities in all grade levels for all children with the application of researched- proven techniques, approaches and philosophies.
